When you invest contributions in a default fund (fund must meet certain requirements) for a participant who has not made investment elections, you are deemed to have made a prudent investment decision on behalf of that participant.
A QDIA is a default investment option that provides additional fiduciary protection for you and eliminates the need for participants to make investment decisions.*
Mutual of Omaha offers two types of QDIA options:
- Mutual GlidePath SM Portfolios - a series of nine target maturity date funds
- Stadion* - a professionally managed account option.
*An annual rate of .75% will be assessed annually to participants using this service as a default investment.
