When you invest contributions in a default fund (fund must meet certain requirements) for a participant who has not made investment elections, you are deemed to have made a prudent investment decision on behalf of that participant.
A QDIA is a default investment option that provides additional fiduciary protection for you, assuming additional requirements are met.*
Mutual of Omaha offers two types of QDIA options:
- Mutual GlidePath SM and Vanguard® Target Retirement Funds - two options of time-based asset allocation funds based on projected retirement dates
- Stadion* - a professionally managed account option.
*An annual rate of .75% will be assessed once a year to participants using this service as a default investment. Participants can opt out of this feature at any time.
